Abstract
Critical thinking and analysis become highly demanded skills in 2025 since the job markets today increasingly need young people who have those skills. Hence, the primary focus of this research is to observe one of the well-known questionnaires about critical thinking formulated by Peter Honey. It was a case study of which the subject was Peter Honey’s critical thinking questionnaire which was implemented on the second semester students of English Education Department of Universitas PGRI Semarang in 2020/2021 school. The data were collected by distributing Peter Honey’s critical thinking questionnaire and in-depth interview. The data were analyzed using Thematic Analysis. The results showed there is a gap between how respondents (high critical thinking and low critical thinking) viewed and ranked themselves using the Likert Scale provided on the questionnaire even though they have the same perspectives in understanding each of the statement listed on the questionnaire. The researchers suggested to complete the questionnaire with indicator of each of the statement which can be used to decide the scale of the respondent. Therefore, the questionnaire is ready to help preparing graduates who are ready facing the challenge of industrial revolution 4.0.
