Abstract

Mathematical literacy ability is one of the abilities that must be mastered by students. In developing literacy skills, learning tools are needed in the form of innovative modules that can help the learning process. This study aims to produce a mathematical literacy-oriented teaching material design assisted by the application of Wolfram Mathematica for valid, effective, and practical social arithmetic material. The research applies a development research model, the development model used is the ADDIE model, which includes the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation stages. The instruments used are in the form of validation sheets for material experts and media experts as well as questionnaires of student and teacher responses to see the effectiveness and practicality of the modules that have been developed. The results of the validation assessment from media experts obtained a score of 91.7% and from material experts obtained a score of 89.55%, where the assessment of media and material experts was in the very good category. Based on the results of the questionnaire analysis, the effectiveness and practicality of teaching materials assisted by the Wolfram Mathematica application are stated to be practically used in learning with a feasibility percentage of 90.7% being in the very good category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the teaching materials assisted by the Wolfram Mathematica application developed have valid and practical qualities and are effective for use in the learning process in the classroom.
