Indonesia, which is the country with the largest majority of Muslims in all corners of the world, is also not immune to these negative impacts. Indonesia, which is a country with diverse tribes and cultures as well as the unity in diversity, began to experience friction between ethnicities, cultures and beliefs. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with descriptive research type. The subjects in this study were teachers and students at SMP N 01 Kedungwuni. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation. Analysis of the data used is triangulation through the stages of Reduction, Display, Ferification in the form (Coding, category, theme). The results of this study are: i. There are two stages in school efforts to improve students' understanding of pluralism, namely: The first stage is the development of attitudes in the classroom in the form of utilizing learning resources, choosing a good teacher teaching style, applying a variety of appropriate methods, creating communication with students, applying continuous evaluation. The second stage is coaching outside the classroom. ii. The understanding of student pluralism manifested in the attitude of student tolerance in SMP Negeri 1 Kedungwuni is very good, this can be seen from the close friendship of students without distinguishing religion, all students get the opportunity to take an active role in extracurricular activities and all students get the opportunity to develop talent and his abilities.
