## Abstract

Floods in Semarang City often occur due to high rainfall, then coastal communities must be vigilant because in addition to flooding caused by high rainfall intensity due to high tides, the flood that occurred on Jl. Brigadier General S. Sudiarto, Semarang City due to high rainfall for the Primary channel which is located on Jl Brigjen S Sudiarto the flow flows towards the East Flood Canal River. Inundation was quite severe in the East Semarang area, on Jl. Brigadier General S. Sudiarto.In calculating the planned flood discharge (R24) using data such as rainfall, channel meas- urement data, and the condition of the channel. Based on this data, the researcher will calculate the planned rainfall for the return period of Q 2,5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 years. To calculate the data, we use the Normal Distribution, Log Normal Distribution, Pearson III Log Distribution, and Gumbel Distribution. Then from these calculations, the analysis of the Log III Distribution method was chosen because it is closer to, based on data processing using the Nakayashu method, the peak flood discharge (QP) value is 2.74 km² and Q 2 years is 2.84 m³/s, Q 5 years is 3.01 m³/s, Q 10 years is 9.79 m³/sec, Q 25 years is 11.05 m/sec. , Q 50 years is 19.69 m³/s, and Q 100 years is 20.35 m/s then from the flood discharge data for the Q50 year return period, it is simulated in the Hydrology Engineering Center River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) application program
